AIGS today announced that it has become a certified Progress Service Deliver Partner (SDP) for South Africa. This includes certification for:
Progress OpenEdge, the leading platform for simplifying and streamlining development, integration and management of business applications;
Rollbase, the rapid development platform for cloud-based apps;
Telerik Platform for OpenEdge, the cross-platform mobile development solution for iOS, Android and Windows Phone; and
Corticon, the easy-to-use rules management engine for OpenEdge.
The certification confirms the ability of AIGS to deliver Progress-related professional services with high quality standards for customers running Progress solutions.
AIGS is a top distributor of Progress in Southern Africa. It was founded in 2010 as a result of the conversion of Progress Software Corporation's operation in South Africa from a wholly-owned subsidiary to an independent distributor.
“In depth understanding of our technology, creativity and overall commitment, along with participation in the certification process, are some of the elements we look for in a strong Progress Service Delivery Partner,” said Kimberly King, Vice President, Global Partners and Channels, Progress. “AIGS not only met these elements but excelled in its achievements during certification.”
Progress and its ecosystem of more than 2,000 Partners support more than 4 million users. The Progress Service Deliver Partner program was established to ensure customers continue to receive the quality service and experience Progress is known for. As a Progress SDP, AIGS will provide a professional delivery model based on best practices for mission-critical Progress applications. To achieve this certification from Progress, AIGS participated in a rigorous process including training courses for Progress OpenEdge developer certification as well as courses around Progress OpenEdge administration certification, Progress Rollbase, Progress Corticon and Telerik Platform for Open Edge. Finally, to further ensure ongoing quality standards, SDP-certified providers undergo a thorough assessment of their delivery and support capabilities annually.
“AIGS has been a cornerstone of the Progress channel in South Africa since its appointment as the Progress Distributor for Sub Saharan Africa” says Rick Parry, CEO of AIGS and erstwhile MD of Progress Software South Africa. “We played a part in ensuring a seamless transition for customers during the global restructuring, and we were instrumental in introducing and implementing many of the key technologies in the Progress arsenal to South African customers. We are truly honoured to have our contribution recognised in this way.”
